Again 123 stands for - 1 hour of time (or less), 2 cards for $3. This class is always quick and easy. The cards are themed around the season, holiday or whatever sparks my interest. Here are the two cards we made this month. Why don't you join us next month for this quick and inexpensive class. It will always be paired up with another class, but you can just do 1 or the other or both.
This month's class was themed around snowmen and we used the Snow Much Fun stamp set.
This card was Real Red and Very Vanilla cs. Holly Berry Bouquet DSP, Real Red 5/8" Satin ribbon, markers and black classic ink. Simple, fun and oh so cute.
How cute is this rolly polly snowman? Whisper White and Baja Breeze cs, black classic ink, markers, Northern Flurry embossing folder and Vanilla Simmer Smooch Spritz (hard to see). You can add some rhinestones for more bling.
All cards were inspired by other great SU Demonstrators.

The Big Shot class went faster this month. We only did 2 cards and 1 3D item. That left time to do the 123 Class if they had RSVP'd for it.
The first card used all Big Shot dies. Garden green, real red, whisper white and early espresso cs. Holly Berry Bouquet DSP, Dasher and Four the Holidays stamp sets, 3/8" Very Vanilla Velvet Stitched ribbon, snow burst textured embossing folder
This card used fabric. This was the first time I've tried fabric in one of our embosslit dies. It worked so slick and the others were impressed too. Always Articoke, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla cs, Deck the Halls fabric, Scaloped Heart of Hearts embosslit die, Pinking Heart Border punch, Hand-Penned Holidays stamp set.
Last item is our 3D item. Isn't this an awesome ornament using the lattice die. I might have to make some more of these for my tree.
Join us next month for the Big Shot class. All of these were inspired/cased from other great SU demonstrators.

I love the holidays, but feel so rushed. Halloween is over and now to put those decorations away. Thanksgiving is the next one and we have so much to be thankful for. Then the biggie - Christmas. I love to decorate, but shopping is becoming harder and harder. I don't know what to buy for people. Gift cards seem so impersonable so this year I'm thinking of making some hand made gifts. You can too because I'm offering a Sunday afternoon stamp camp/open house to come make a variety of hand made papercraft gifts. These gifts will range in price from $3 to $10 each. You can make one or many. Here are some of the projects. I'll add more as I get samples done. Enjoy. Supplies are limited!
#1 - Gift cards and matching box - $6
#2 - gift box with 8 small 3x3 notecards - $8
#3 - a gift bag with card - $3
#4 - altered notebook - $5
#5 - 6x6 personal scrapbook - $4
#6 - altered birdhouse - $5
#7 - glass Christmas ornament and gift box - $5
#8 - stamped mini frame and gift box - $3
#9 - framed holiday art decor - $10
#10 - cookie plate w/ Decor element applied - $7

Tonight we will make a festive fall coffee cup cozy. We will be using boiled wool, the Spice Cake fabric and Designer Buttons. There will be some sewing involved in this class. Just a reminder that Designer Series Paper ($10.95) is on sale this month (August). Buy 3 packs and get the 4th pack FREE. Earlier this month I did a class featuring DSP (designer series paper). The class was FREE if you took advantage of the DSP special. Here are the 3 samples we made at the class. Again, samples were cased but modified from other great SU demonstrators.
Pocketful of Posies DSP, Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry. Stamp sets were Flower Fancy and You're a Gem.
Unfortunately, this DSP doesn't count toward the special. Flirtatious Specialty, You're a Gem stamp set.
I love th new Petite Pennants Builder Punch. How cute is this. Just Add Cake DSP and Swirls & Curls Verses (Level 1 Hostess) stamp set.
My classes are the best way to see and try out new products. Come join us.

Cajun Craze, Sierra Sand, Old Olive, Early Expresso
Baja Breeze, Pumpkin Pie, Early Expresso, Poppy Parade, Very Vanilla
Hope you enjoy. If you want to order these punches, please do so via my website.

Where better to celebrate our nation's independence day than on the East Coast. I'm writing this at my brother's kitchen table and our plans today are to go out of Glouster Mass. for a whale watching tour. Can't wait, but need to get some dramaine. Hope we see some whales. I've never seen whales except at Sea World. Had a whole family dinner last night. Got to meet Gavin for the first time. I approve :) Met Jacob's friend from Boston as she came out to pick him up. Jacob is spending July 4th in Boston/Cambridge. He'll have FUN!.
This stamp set is in the mini. Maybe we'll see one of these out in the ocean. Enjoy!
Happy 4th! Have you got your new catalog? If not, contact me and I'll get one to you. Also, don't forget my Open House on July 16 from 1-5 pm.

Well i'm back up and running again on my computer. Trying to remember all my passwords, getting software reloaded and everything else really has taken a long time. Today I'm off from work for a few hours and I'm trying to get caught up. Here are some pictures of the 123 Class for May. We used the new Flower Garden embossing folder available in the Summer Mini. What a beautiful embossing folder.
The first card we slightly sponged color over the raised embossing. This really accented the embossing.
The next one was not colored and created a very elegant design in this sympathy card.
I hope you enjoy these cards. Why not take a class? I offer a different class each week or you can always get a class by mail or come another class night to make up a class. Send me an email to jbstampin@charter.net for more info or my class schedule.

The ladies at the Big Shot Projects class enjoyed doing some different things with their Big Shots. I showed them how to make a template to be used with an embossing folder so that it would NOT emboss a portion of the cardstock. This allowed for them to stamp an image on the embossed cardstock.
The stamp set is Bliss from SAB and the embossing folder was Finial Press.
The next project was this cute chicky box. Again using the Big Shot dies and punches, we created this cute box to hold treats for Easter.
The last project showed them how to fold a 6 1/2" paper to make a large lattice. Contact me for directions if you are interested in learning how to do this.
I will have additional Big Shot classes in the future. So keep checking my Blog or website for class offerings.

Monday is Valentine's Day and what is better than to receive a handmade Valentine from soneone. I mailed out a bunch of them this week. Most of them went to family just to let them know we love them and think of them often and some went to friends to say the same thing. Here are some of the ones I sent.
Send someone a handmade card today and let them know you are thinking of them. All of these cards were cased and tweeked from samples I saw from other creative demonstrators.

We had our first stay on the ground snow fall last Friday. Woke up to about an 1" or more on the ground and the roads were a touch slippery. But the weather man is predicting 55 degrees this week. It was in the 50's today. So when will winter arrive? Well, I'm hoping to be skiing by the end of November, but first we need to get through Thanksgiving. Here are some fall cards we made last week at the 123 Class.
We used the Rock N Roll technique on this card.
Oh and here was my favorite trick or treater - Brian Gravlin. We only had 2 trick or treaters. Brian of course got special treats. He is my favorite!
This card was totally cased from Lorrie Skinner. I loved the colors and everything about it -- so no need to redo. This stamp set is French Foilage and I love it!
This week's class is Thanksgiving projects. So join us this Monday (please RSVP) or stop back to see what we made.

The weather here in Michigan has turned cold, wet and windy. You would think Hurricane Earl had struck us. This morning it was 43 degrees, but the sun is shining and the wind has died down to a breeze. This weather puts me into the fall season mood. Here is a card we did at the 123 Class (1 hours, 2 cards, $3). This is one of the new stamp sets in the Holiday Mini - have you seen that mini yet? I want it all!
This was cased from another Remarkable - Michele Reynolds. I modified it some what but loved her color combination.
Stamp Sets - Paisley Prints, On Your Birthday
Ink - Garden Green, Cajun Craze, Poppy Parade
Accy - Texture Plates Kit #4, Scallop Oval Punch, Medium Oval Punch, Eyelet Border Punch
This is the other card we did at the 123 Class. Isn't this beautiful.
Stamp Set - Watercolor Trio (from the summer mini catalog - no longer available)
Ink - Marina Mist, Pear Pizzazz
Accy - Vellum Cardstock, markers, Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, Beautiful Wings embosslit die
Enjoy!

Boy did we have fun spritzing and sponging at the Monday Method's class. We did 2 new techniques, made a sample for their technique book and 2 cards. The ladies loved it and were excited to try it on their own.
Sponging and Masking
I modified this card from a swap I received at Convention (thank you). Pocket Silhouette was the stamp set and Not Quite Name and Soft Suede were the primary colors. I will be putting together a tutorial soon showing how to make the horizon. So check back soon.
Smooch Sprtiz Resist
This technique came from Splitcoast Stampers website. It turned out to be a WOW. The Presto Paper Speciality Paper is awesome for this technique. You can check out the tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers.
Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder was used, Pacific Point and Tangerine Tango. The Beautiful Wings embosslit die was used in addition to the Clear Circle bigz die. We used the Gold Glow Smooch Spritz.
Enjoy!

Do you know what 123 class is? It's one hour, 2 cards, $3. So this is the class for those busy people who only have a little time. Truly the class goes really fast Here are the 2 cards we did. The Owl card did take some time, but isn't it adorable?
The hardest part was putting those tiny pupils in the eyes. For those who struggled, I suggested using a black ink pen and making the pupils.
The other card we did used the Big Shot and DSP from the Occasions Mini - Island Oasis. This DSP is available until August 31st.
Simple card, little stamping, some punching and putting it together. Quick and easy.
This class is held the first Thursday of every month. So plan on attending on Sept. 2nd. See you then.

Original was from Ruth Murphy. I cased this pretty much as designed. I had to call Ruth on how she did the yellow flower so nice in her sample. She told me she created a mask and used Daffodil Delight with a sponge dauber. Thank you Ruth.
Original from Jen Snyder. Here is my cased and modified version. Notice how nice the white gel pen makes the hydranga pop.
Original from a RemARKable (sorry can't remember her name). This holds a Ghirardelli chocolate with a white ribbon tied around it to hold it in. Yum Yum!
Original from Jan Wakeland. This is my cased/modified version. Jan presented this little gift to me at Convention. It contained a RemARKable ark pin and a cute purple flower charm. I LOVED it. This uses the new Petal Card punch and Hostess level 2 Cute by the Inch stamp set. Book your hostess party today and you could earn this stamp set FREE.
Don't forget - tonight is my 123 Class (one hour, 2 cards, $3) or bring your own project and just hang out with the girls.

Just wanted to share some cards we did this week at the Accessory of the Month class. It featured Greenhouse Gala Designer Series Paper.
Enjoy - and check back for more samples when I get back from Convention.

I love this set - Because I Care. It has to be the hydrangea which in northern Michigan are in full bloom. Most of them here are white and beautiful. Here is a card I cased and did at one of my classes. I'm going to be using his same set for the Technique Tuesday class I'm having. We are going to try thumping.
This card uses the new Marina Mist cardstock and ink. I soooo love this color. Also used is Old Olive cardstck and ink; whisper white cardstock; Square Lattice embossing folder and scallop oval punch and medium oval punch. Enjoy!
If you'd like to attend my class - Technique Tuesday, it is at 7pm on July 13. Contact me ahead of time so I make sure I have enough materials prepped.

Can you believe this is the last day of the blog tour? It sure has gone fast, but this isn't the end of more great ideas, tips and more being shared. So check back daily to see what else we have in store to share with you.
Today I picked the stamp set - Elements of Style. It is on page 133 in the IB&C. It is a beautiful set and has lots of potential. The hummingbird is so beautiful and the say "Life is a mater of moments" is so true. It is about those moments that take your breath away. The sunrise or sunset. The song of a bird or an eagle soaring. I live in Northern Michigan and we have eagles, bears and lots of wildlife. One day I looked out the window in my craft room (which overlooks a lake) and I saw an eagle flying with a fish in his talons. What a sight. Another day I say momma bear and 2 cubs cross the road about 100 yards in front of me. I slowed down and watched her and her babies. Moments that took my breath away. I hope you can think of some of those moments that took your breath away.
Well here are my samples. I don't think they will take your breath away, but I hope they inspire you to create and share!

What beautiful samples have been shown on the blog tour so far. I know I will be placing an order soon for some of the stamp sets, ribbon, accessories and paper that others have shared. The creativity is amazing! Today's samples come from the stamp set - Friends Never Fade. That is so true. I have made some wonderful new friends through Stampin' Up! and they are truly the flowers in my life. This stamp set provides so many options and coordinates nicely with the Greenhouse Gala Designer Series Paper. I used some on each of the 3 card samples. Along with the DSP and stamp set, there is an individual stamp - Ornate Blossom, Big Shot Original Die - Blossom Party, and Decor Elements - Botanical Flower. I'm thinking my laptop will be featuring these flowers on it's cover soon. Enjoy!
This card features some of the new In-Colors and core colors. Paper - Peach Parfait, Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Old Olive. Ink - Baja Breeze, Peach Parfait, Stamp Set - Friends Never Fade, Accy - Greenhouse Gala Designer Series Paper, Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folders, Linen Thread, paper snips, stampin' dimensionals, mini glue dots, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack.

I am so excited to be part of this tour. I haven't bought too many new stamp sets yet, but I'm sure after the tour I'll be placing an order. You will find some amazing samples on this tour. I hope you enjoy mine.
Today I'm using Artistic Etchings. It is located on pg. 125 in the new Idea Book & Catalog. I like this set because it gives you a lot of different options. The circle stamp is very pretty by it's self or used as a background on cardstock. The key adds a vintage look and can be used with so many other stamp sets throughout the Elements section in the IB&C. Try using it with Vintage Vogue or Sense of Time. Here are 3 samples I made for Day 1. Enjoy!
This card uses the following: Stamp set - Artistic Etchings; Paper - Elegant Eggplant, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Newsprint Designer Series Paper; Ink - Soft Suede; Accy - small oval punch, stampin dimensionals, snail
This card uses the following: Stamp set - Artistic Etchings; Paper -Riding Hood Red , Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Newsprint Designer Series Paper; Ink - Riding Hood Red, Basic Black; Accy - 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Extra Large Punch, 1 3/4" Circle Extra Large Punch, Very Vanilla 5/8" Jumbo Brad, Paper-Piercing Tool, Mat Pack, Paper Snips, stampin dimensionals, snail
This card uses the following: Stamp set - Artistic Etchings; Paper - Pendant Notes, Riding Hood Red, Newsprint Designer Series Paper; Ink - Riding Hood Red; Accy - Filigree Designer Brads, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Paper-Piercing Tool, Mat Pack, stampin dimensionals, snail.
Now click on the box below to go to the next stop in the RemARKable New Catalog Blog Tour. Come back tomorrow for another stamp set I'll be featuring. Thanks for stopping!

I have received my 2010/2011 Idea Book & Catalog. Wow Wow Wow. You won't believe all the great new stamp sets, paper, storage items, etc. Contact me to get your catalog. I have one with your name on it.
Here is one of the new stamp sets in the catalog. It was offered as a sneak peak back in May so we've created a lot of cards with this set. Here are 4 we did last week.
This card uses the new textured impressions embossing folder - Square Lattice. What a neat look.
Try this - stamp the outline on DSP and cut out. What a nice look this creates.
Enjoy.

Have you tried the Cogs Double Punch from Stampin' Up! that is available in the Summer Mini? Well, it is a cool punch that has a lot of versatility with your creative spirit. Some have said it is hard to punch and I tend to agree. All large punches (regardless of who makes/sells them) are hard to punch. It is not a punch you can do with one hand. I have found the best way to punch it is to stand up, place it on a hard surface and punch. This works everytime and you need to hear the second punch.
Here are 2 Father's Day cards we made using the punch and some retiring colors. Enjoy!
This card using Brillant Blue, Going Gray, Whisper White and Really Rust cs. Eight Great Greetings stamp set, DSP, Pumpkin Pie striped ribbon, Brillant Blue ink.
This is a favorite. Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa and Confetti White cs. Wanted and Wonderful Favorite stamp sets. Close to Cocoa ink, Big Shot Top Notes, Cog Punch, Word Window punch, and chocolate chip 5/8" grosgrain ribbon.
Both cards were cased, but modified. Thanks for the inspiration.

I just love the Tropical Party stamp set in the new Summer Mini Catalog. I also love the look the new SU Square Lattice textured impressions embossing folder gives to create an unique background on this card. This was cased/modified from another SU demonstrator that I saw somewhere on line - so I can't take the credit for how cute this card is. The beach background was made using SU Watercolor Crayons. Enjoy
Also at the 123 Class we made the following card using the Watercolor Trio stamp set from the Summer Mini Catalog. Also used on this card was the Scallop Trim Border punch, SU Perfect Details Texturz Plate, and retiring colors. Again, cased/modified.
Don't forget to the One Last Chance lists are available and some accessory items are already gone. So check it out on my website
Keep stamping and creating.

We had fun the other night trying out 2 colors of the Smooch Spray from the summer mini. We used Gold Glow and Vanilla Shimmer. I also had the ladies use the new Decor Stencil - Mostly Vintage from the summer mini. They loved it all. Here are my 3 samples. Most are cased, but tweaked. So thank you for the ideas.
Tropical Party stamp set, old olive, pumpkin pie, whisper white cs/ink/ribbon, Island Oasis DSP. Square Lattice embossing folder.
It's very hard to see the Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spray on both of these cards, but when the light hits it just right - they sparkle.
Mostly Vintage Decor Stencil, Soft Suede ink and ribbon, Ruby Red, Kraft and Very Vanilla cs, Fire Rhinestone brad.
Mostly Vintage Decor stencil, Gold Glow Smooch Spray, Handsome Hunter and Whisper White cs, gold brad, white taffeta ribbon, Mini Vintage Tag.
There are 2 other colors of Smooch Spray - Silver Foil and Log Cabin. I like them too. Of course we all used the handy Color Catcher box. It folds flat to store and by putting a piece of card stock in the bottom while you smooch spray - it collects all the over spray and can be used as background paper on cards. So check out pg. 15 in the summer mini catalog. Thanks for looking!

What a fun night we had learning to watercolor using the Stampin' Up! Aqua Painters and Watercolor Crayons. I do not even hold a candle to artists who watercolor beautiful paintings, but I did learn some new techniques. I got some wonderful directions from another demonstrator (Sandi Maciver). Her directions were easy to follow and we made the following cards in this month's class. Next month we are going to do 2 different cards using 2 different watercoloring techniques. We are using the Nature's Nest stamp set. Love this set.
A Little Color Wash
Basic Watercoloring - Staying Inside the Lines
Fun, fun, fun. Watch for next month's class schedule to join us for 2 more watercoloring techniques.

Last weekend I went to a Stampin' Up! event hosted by Jackie Bolhuis. I've been to many of her events because it's only about 2 hours away. This year's event featured Jill Olson who's demonstrator number is 5 (she's an original). Jill has been creating quilts using the Big Shot and dies. You would not believe these. I'm not a quilter, but boy I could see the possibilities of using the Big Shot to make quilts. Here is a quilt by Jill that was on display.
This is made with Circle 2. How beautiful. She actually sends most of her designs out to a quilter who does all the stitching.
Also, at the event was Cathy Worrell. She showed us how to make several different kinds of flowers using fabric and the big shot. Now this is something I may get into. If you are interested in making fabric flower broaches, please let me know and I'll be glad to put a class together. Here is one of Cathy's designs. Love it!

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers and mothers to be. It is our special day and let them pamper you. I had the chance to go to a day/evening Stampin' Up! event near Holland Michigan this weekend and had a ton of fun. Jackie Bolhuis was the demonstrator hostess and the special speaker was Jill Olson who has a demonstrator number of 5. (Yes she was the 5th demonstrator to start with SU.) I will be posting some of the items we made during the Make N Take and also the quilting items we made with the Big Shot on Friday night. Way too many cool ideas. I hope you will stop back often and see what can be done with the Big Shot and fabric. Now to hit the fabric stores :)
I hope you will enjoy this Mother's Day card I made for my mother-in-law. We made it at one of my classes.

Hasn't this been fun. I bet you can plan all your summer parties by the ideas shared by these fantastic and creative ladies. I'm so glad to be a part of this blog tour.
Today's post is the "thank you". No celebration is complete until the thank yous have been said and mailed. Again, the black and white theme along with simple, yet elegant. I hope you have enjoyed my samples and hope you will stop back soon for more ideas.
Here again I used the Wedding Sweet stamp set, but this time I embossed it in black. It is stamped on our new Presto Patterns Specialty paper from the Summer Mini Catalog (pg. 15). Oh I have seen some beautiful things done with this paper, but this is my first. i think I'll be ordering a few more packs of this paper. Basic Black and Whisper White cardstock. I used the Scallop Trim Corner and Border punches which are available or will be in the new Idea Book & Catalog. Simple, elegant and showing off some of my favorite and new favorite tools and paper.
The next stop on the tour is Diane Carr's blog, so stop over and see what she has to share with you today. Thank you for sharing with us and come back soon.

Wow - some great ideas so far on the tour. I noticed a lot of black and white. Great minds think alike. No we did not have this planned or talked to anyone on the tour before we started. Isn't it funny so many of us are using the black and white theme.
Well I'm still with the black and white theme. Today's post is a vase with some favors that could adorn a table or the gift table. Imagine some beautiful white roses in this vase along with the favors sitting at each place sitting. Wouldn't this be festive.
The vase was found at a local store. I used just one of the Flurry set of 10 Definitely Decorative decor elements. This was a little tricky because of the curve of the vase, but I got it to work and I think it is beautiful on the vase. The two favors are cut from the Bride Specialty Paper, Basic Black ink, Wedding Sweet stamp set, and a rhinestone brad. The die for the Big Shot was Two Tags. Simple and quick, yet elegant.
Now hop on over to Diane Carr's blog to see what she has to feature today. Maybe more black and white. Stop back tomorrow for my final post and yes it will be black and white again.
Thank you.

Today is the beginning of the RemARKable Special Occasions Blog Tour. I have chosen a simple, but elegant theme featuring some products in the Idea Book & Catalog, the Definitely Decorative catalog, and the new Summer Mini catalog.
Today's feature is done with the Wedding Sweet stamp set, Basic Black and Whisper White cardstock, Basic Black ink, Basic Black Satin Ribbon and 2 Rhinestone Brads. It is a card that would be sent out asking friends and family to "Save the Date"
Come back tomorrow to see what I have next in this same theme of simple, but elegant.
Hop on over to the next stop on the tour by clicking on the link below. Thank you for stopping and see you tomorrow.

We had a ton of fun at the Going Green class last week. We used up a lot of scraps of paper and because the class was on St. Patty's day - we had some special goodies. Here are some samples of items we made.
Remember the Big Shot can cut through much more than paper. Only about 50+ different materials. Here I used roof flashing that I bought at the home improvement store. I was so excited that it actually came in a 6" width so all I had to do was cut it with tin snips to the length of the die. You can use pop cans or other thin metal to make this little candle holder. This has got to be one of my favorite dies for the Big Shot - Flower Folds. It makes 4 different size flowers. Here we used the 3 largest and slightly bent the petals to create a cup to hold the candle. Here is what we did with the smallest flower.
A little designer series paper (from the SAB pack), a flower from the stitched felt Sweet Pea pack and glued a pin on the back to make a cute jewelry pin to wear. Quick, easy and look how cute and we used all the flowers from the Flower Folds die.
Remember I have a Big Shot special going on until the end of March. Look at what you get!

Technique Tuesday was a fun class and the ladies really loved or hated the new SU punches. I struggled with the Pinking Heart Corner and Border punch. If anyone out there has a better tutorial than SU -- please share. I still could NOT get it to match up perfectly. The Scalloped Trim Corner and Border punches were a snap and the ladies agreed these were much easier.
We also did a technique called Sponged Sky. So simple and fun to do. This would be a great technique on scrapbook pages too.
Stamp sets were Pendant Park and a FREE SAB set - Whimsical Words. Card stock was Rich Razzleberry, Basic Black, Whisper White. Ink was Basic Black. Punch - Curly Label.
Here is the technique - from Splitcoast. Try it out!
Create a sky in no time at all with a few dabs of your sponge.
Step-by-Step
Important
Hint:
Before moving on to the next step, remove extra ink by rubbing sponge on scrap
paper. The soft look is achieved with very little ink.

3. Continue adding color until you have the color that you want.

This is the last day of the blog tour and it's been a lot of fun. I have really enjoyed all the posts by the others and I hope you have too.
Today's post is an old favorite of mine. It is called a BAG-A-LOPE. I have made these for years and they are very inexpensive to make. You can get a box of envelopes at the $1 store for a dollar and just make cute little gift bags -- a bag from an envelope -- becomes a BAG-A-LOPE.
Here you start with a plain white envelope. Seal it up and wheel away with either your Stampin' Up! jumbo wheel or standard wheel. Below you will see I used Creamy Caramel with the Very Vintage wheel out of the Occassions Mini.
Next you take your bone folder and fold in each long edge about 1/2" and score. Fold the bottom up about the same distance and score.
Once you get the 3 edges folded and scored. I smooth out and cut about 2" off the unfolded end to create a bag.
To add a little flair - I scalloped the end using the Scallop Trim Border punch that I earned FREE from Sale-A-Bration. Don't you just love that edge.
Now open the envelope and fold your sides and bottom up/out to form a bag. The bottom takes a little practice, but you'll get it. Sometimes I take my bone folder and stick it into the bag/envelope to push the bottom out so I can work it flat.
Like this. Then tape the dog ears and fold them back onto the bottom.
Here is the bag standing up before I fold over the top.
Here is the top folded over. I then punched 2 holes to feed my Elegant Eggplant ribbon (another scrap from my ribbon jar) and tied a bow.
Here is the finished BAG-A-LOPE filled with of course CHOCOLATE!!!! Creamy Caramel ink was used to roll the envelope. All the words were stamped in Elegant Eggplant on Whisper White cs. Then matted on a scrap of Elegant Eggplant. Of course I wanted to decorate it a little more by using 2 half pearls from the Pretties Kit. This makes a very inexpensive and quick small gift bag. Again using an envelope, a piece of scrap ribbon and scraps of Stampin' Up! cardstock. Another great way to reuse or take an ordinary item and create a new use.
Look around and figure out how you can start GOING GREEN.
Click below to go to the next stop in the blog tour. I hope you will stop back often to see other posts and items we have made in classes, camps or workshops. Thank you for looking!
