CREATING AT THE BEEHIVE - OCTOBER CLASS OFFERING

I love Fall.  The holidays, the leaves turning colors, the crisp nights and the gift season.  Join in a class or 2 to get started on holiday decorations, gift giving or Christmas cards.

ACCESSORY OF THE MONTH – Simply Scored Scoring Tool, Tue, Oct. 4,  7 pm

Tonight’s class will feature the Simply Scored Scoring Tool on pg. 7 in the 2011 Holiday Mini Catalog.  This tool is awesome and makes scoring a breeze.  Come find out how simple it is as we will make 2 lollies.  Cost is $5 for the 2 lollies or FREE if you order the Simply Scored Scoring Tool at the class.  RSVP by Sept. 29.  Please bring your own adhesive, cutter, scissors and clear blocks to all classes. 

123 CLASS – Thur, Oct. 6, 7 pm

123 CLASS – If you only have an hour or less, this is a great time for you to stop over between 7 and 9 pm.  1 hour, 2 cards, $3.00.  RSVP by Oct. 3.  The 2 cards will feature the new hostess stamp set from the new Holiday Mini – WARMEST of WISHES.  Please bring your own adhesive, cutter, scissors and clear blocks to all classes.

 

 

 

 

 

HALLOWEEN DECOR– Thur, Oct. 13,  7 pm

More Halloween decorations.  We will make 2 treat boxes and 1 décor item.  You will receive a pack of Black Frightful Sight Décor Elements (pg. 228).  Bring your own frame that is at least 12” long, a plastic pumpkin or glass jar to put 1 of the Décor Elements on.  Cost is $15 for the 2 treat boxes and the complete set of Décor Elements.  Please bring your own adhesive, cutter, scissors and item to put the Décor Element on.  RSVP by Oct. 1. 

 

CHRISTMAS CARDS – Mon, Oct. 17 & Wed, Oct. 19,  7 pm

More Christmas cards.  The classes are the same, but I’m giving you an option of the evening to come stamp-a-stack.    You will make 10 cards tonight (5 ea. of 2 designs).  Cost of $15 includes the 10 cards and envelopes.  Please bring your own adhesive, cutter, scissors and clear blocks to all classes.  RSVP by Oct. 12.

 

TUESDAY TREATS – Tue, Oct. 25,  7 pm

Tonight we will make a festive fall coffee cup cozy.  We will be using boiled wool, the Spice Cake fabric and Designer Buttons.  There will be some sewing involved in this class.  We will also make a cute pocket card to put a packet of coffee or a tea bag in.  This will make a very nice treat for someone who likes coffee and/or tea.  Cost is only $10 and includes all the materials for the cup cozy and pocket card.   Please bring your own adhesive, cutter, scissors and clear blocks to all classes. RSVP by Oct. 18.

TECHNIQUE TUESDAY

Boy did we have fun with Technique Tuesday.  A small group, but we laughed and created some unique cards.  I love to try new techniques, folds, etc.  It's fun to see how each card can be so different.  Here are my 3 samples.

SEPTEMBER CLASSES AT THE BEEHIVE

123 CLASS – Thur, Sept 1, 7 pm

123 CLASS – If you only have an hour or less, this is a great time for you to stop over between 7 and 9 pm.  1 hour, 2 cards, $3.00.  RSVP by Aug. 30.  The 2 cards will feature the new stamp set from the new Holiday Mini – GENTLY FALLING.  Please bring your own adhesive, cutter, scissors and clear blocks to all classes.

TECHNIQUE TUESDAY – Tue, Sept 6,  7 pm

Tonight I will bring back 3 old techniques that we haven’t used in awhile or may be new to you.  Cost is only $10 and includes all the materials for the 3 cards and 3 technique samples.   Please bring your own adhesive, cutter, scissors and clear blocks to all classes. RSVP by Sept. 2

ACCESSORY OF THE MONTH – Designer Frames, Mon, Sept 12,  7 pm

Tonight’s class will feature the Designer Frames Textured Impressions Embossing Folders Set on pg.218 in the 2011/12 IB&C.  These frames are an oval and a rectangle.  They create a strongly-embossed highlight on your card.  We will make 4 cards using these embossing folders.    Cost is $15 for 4 cards and the Designer Frames.  RSVP by Sept. 1.  Please bring your own adhesive, cutter, scissors and clear blocks to all classes.

We will also start getting you ready for Halloween.  We will make 2 cards and 4 cello bag treats.  We will be using the Howl-o-ween Creeps stamp set.    Cost is $8 for 2 cards and 4 cello bag treats ready to fill with your favorite candy.  Please bring your own adhesive, cutter, scissors and clear blocks to all classes.  RSVP by Sept. 21.
