HEAT EMBOSSING IN COLOR

WOW WOW WOW - Just tried the color embossing party at a class this month and love it.  7 ladies attended this class so they could try before they buy the new colored embossing powder.  They bought because they loved it.  They heard me say over and over again not to mix the colors and they did a great job not mixing them up.  I used little plastic containers for each color, a coffee filter and spoon so they could work at a separate station for each color.  This worked well and kept the mess down to a minimum.  Don't forget to always used the Embossing Buddy when you are heat embossing.  Here are the samples we made.  (Cased, but modified from other great SU demos).

Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi EP, Fifth Avenue Floral and Sincere Salutations stamp sets, Scallop Trim Corner and Decorative Label punches.

Look how stunning the Wild Wasabi colored EP looks on black.  Melon Mambo on the circle scallop.  1 3/4" scallop circle punch and Baroque Motifs stamp set. A little strip of Flirtatious Specialty paper too.

Floral Fillers stamp set using Wild Wasabi, Cherry Cobbler and Melon Mambo colored EP.  Just Add Cake DSP.  Punches used were:  butterfly, Pinking Heart Border and Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack.  Oh and added a pearl embellishment too.

This card was extra fun because we colored too using the Colored Pencils.  Stamp sets were Flower Fest and Sincere Salutations (still one of my favorites).  Cherry Cobbler, Wild Wasabi and Melon Mambo colored EP, Cheerful Treat DSP (hostess).  Retired Melon Mambo dotted ribbon, but replace it with the new Scallop Dots ribbon.

DESIGNER SERIES PAPER - ON SALE THIS MONTH

Just a reminder that Designer Series Paper ($10.95) is on sale this month (August).  Buy 3 packs and get the 4th pack FREE.  Earlier this month I did a class featuring DSP (designer series paper).  The class was FREE if you took advantage of the DSP special.  Here are the 3 samples we made at the class.  Again, samples were cased but modified from other great SU demonstrators.

123 CLASS

123 Class is a quick class for busy people.  It is designed to fit into an hour or less where you can stop in anytime between 7 - 9 pm and make 2 cute cards for only $3.  It is held the first Thursday of every month, so just RSVP that you are coming and cardstock will be cut for you to make 2 cards.  If you want to make more than 2 cards, just let me know that too.

Here are the 2 cards we made in August.

This is the new Pool Party cardstock along with Lucky Limeade.  These are 2 of the new In Colors for this year.  Stamp set is Sweets for the Sweet which is used on the card below. 

Isn't this a way cute card.  Colors are Real Red, Daffodil Delight, and Tempting Turquoise.  Punches used were the 1" Circle and Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border.

AUGUST CLASS SCHEDULE at the BEEHIVE

Here is my class schedule for August.  Hope you will join me for a class or two.  Remember any class can be taken on or after the date scheduled (to work better with your schedule), just let me know when you will be taking the class.  Also, any class can be done via the mail for $5.00 extra or at your home with 5+ guests.  Let's set a date.

123 CLASS – Thur, Aug 4, 7 pm

123 CLASS – If you only have an hour or less, this is a great time for you to stop over between 7 and 9 pm.  1 hour, 2 cards, $3.00.  RSVP by Aug. 2.  The 2 cards will feature the new stamp set from the 2011/2012 IB&C – SWEETS for the SWEET.  Please bring your own adhesive, cutter, scissors and clear blocks to all classes.

 DSP CLASS – Mon, Aug 8,  7 pm

Tonight’s class will feature some of the new DSP in the 2011/12 IB&C.  During August, your customers will get a FREE package of Designer Series Paper when they buy three, during our Buy Three, Get One Free promotion!   If you place an order for this promotion (buy 3, get one free DSP) tonight, your class will be FREE.  Cost is $5 for 3 cards or FREE.  Please bring your own adhesive, cutter, scissors and clear blocks to all classes.  RSVP by Aug. 5.

Tonight’s class will feature some of the new colored Emboss Power in the 2011/12 IB&C.  There are 5 new colors besides white, black, clear, silver and gold.  So let’s try some of the new colors on 4 different cards.  Cost is $8 for 4 cards.  Please bring your own adhesive, cutter, scissors and clear blocks to all classes.  RSVP by Aug. 12.

 ALL TIED UP – Mon, Aug 22,  7 pm

Tonight’s class will feature the new 3/8” Ruffled Ribbon in the 2011/12 IB&C (pg. 194).  This ribbon is offered in the 5 new In Colors.   All 4 cards will feature some of this ribbon and you will receive 2 yards of each color ribbon (10 yds.)   Cost is $15 for 4 cards and 10 yds. of ribbon.  Please bring your own adhesive, cutter, scissors and clear blocks to all classes.  RSVP by Aug. 12.

 ACCESSORY OF THE MONTH – DESIGNER BUTTONS, Tue, Aug 30,  7 pm

Tonight’s class will feature the stamp set Button Buddies on pg. 71 in the 2011/12 IB&C.  These stamps are so cute and designed to coordinate with the Designer Buttons on pg. 197.  Cost is $15 for 4 cards and a package of buttons.  When you RSVP by Aug. 12, please state what button family you want – Brights, Regals, Subtles or Neutrals.  Please bring your own adhesive, cutter, scissors and clear blocks to all classes.  RSVP by Aug. 12.
